Here are some top tips for distributing and getting the most out of your printed leaflets

Apart from getting the leaflets the cost if you do it yourself could be almost zero.

Total time to complete the project should be about 8 days depending on volume and complexity.
Leaflets are no good if you don’t use them (sorry to be blunt 🙂 !). It is a known fact that a large percentage of leaflets never get used, it comes back to the old saying “a job well planned is a job half done”. We have listed some ideas below to get you started, depending on how far you decide to take it and the volume you do it should take about 1 to 2 days for each task. Although of course if you are covering a large area/volume it will take longer, there are companies which specialise in this type of thing but generally the DIY approach seems to be best. You can always try get help from friends and colleagues.

Preparation

Always start with planning. Decide what area you are going to target and what resources you are going to need.

Design your leaflets

Once you know who you are targeting, design your leaflets to appeal to that audience this may require multiple designs. To save cost you can design your leaflets yourself, or if you want professional job done you can employ a graphic designer.

Deciding what you are going to put on the leaflets and designing them can take a lot longer than you may anticipate, be sure to allow enough time in your plan.

Get strated…

The best way to get things done is to start!

1. Put you leaflets on the stand in a customer area, don’t forget to add a sign “please take one”. If you are sending out goods include at least one if not two or three leaflets with each order.

2. Distribute your leaflets into letterboxes, you can pay somebody to distribute leaflets for you or do it yourself. If you can schedule a walk to or from work you could take a wodge of flyers with you and distribute as you go.

3. Speak to local businesses, especially ones that are relevant to you and ask if they are willing to put a leaflet holder in their customer area or at least pin one up on the noticeboard.

4. If your product or service has a broad appeal finder public area where there are plenty of people and have them out (please remember to check for and abide by any laws rules or regulations applicable).

5. Speak to local magazines and newspapers, providing you provide them with the leaflets they will often insert them for a relatively small fee.
